Job Description
Manage customer acquisition, loan disbursement, and ongoing loan servicing for micro‑finance clients, ensuring compliance, documentation, and high‑quality service across multiple Kenyan locations while coordinating incident response and promoting additional financial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers through visits, business centre outreach, and repeat engagements; maintain up to 200 active leases.
- Market and sensitize customers about Tugende’s products and services; cross‑sell additional solutions and refer leads.
- Vet clients and guarantors according to credit policy, capture information in the CRM, and obtain system approval.
- Re‑emphasize training on asset acquisition terms, guarantor responsibilities, payment terms, insurance, and reporting of stolen assets.
- Ensure clients have KRA PIN and National ID recorded in the system.
- Inform clients of payment channels, enforce the “No Cash” policy, explain agreements and provide copies during disbursement.
- Follow up on loans via calls and visits, document interactions, collect down‑payments, notify overdue payments, and initiate recovery actions.
- Coordinate and escalate incidents, handle non‑responsive clients, record accidents, submit insurance documentation, and support clients with impounded assets or breakdowns.
- Communicate new opportunities, retain existing clients, and assess additional interests after sales.
- Record all customer interactions and agreements for data transparency.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in a Business‑related field (BA/BSc/HND accepted).
- Minimum 1 year micro‑finance experience (preferred).
- Unquestionable integrity and transparency.
- Motorbike riding competence (Class A2 and B) – mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High dependability and commitment.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BSc/HND or Diploma in a Business‑related course.
- Experience in micro‑finance preferred.
