Job Description
Experienced Accountant needed to manage financial records, reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit support for a manufacturing and hardware group, ensuring accurate statements and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software and ensure proper documentation of invoices and receipts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; analyse P&L, balance sheets, and cash‑flow statements.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts; monitor budget variances and recommend cost‑saving measures.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with Kenyan VAT, withholding tax, and other regulations.
- Support audits by preparing documents, liaising with auditors, and addressing audit findings.
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee cash flow, disbursements, petty cash, reconcile bank statements, and manage accounts receivable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CPA (K) certification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and statutory requirements.
- Experience in audit processes and statutory deduction filings.
- Ability to prepare final accounts and handle regulatory filings.
