Job Description
A finance attachment for accounting students to shadow professionals, handle data entry, document management, bank reconciliations, voucher preparation, and support queries, gaining practical experience in SouthMed’s accounts department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and processing of financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Support the team in filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents.
- Help with the reconciliation of bank statements and supplier statements.
- Assist in the preparation of payment vouchers and invoices.
- Respond to internal and external queries under the guidance of senior staff.
- Perform any other administrative duties as assigned by the Finance team.
Requirements
- Currently studying towards a degree in Accounting (or a related field).
- Must be in need of an industrial attachment placement as part of university requirements.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Fluency in English is required.
