Job Description

A finance attachment for accounting students to shadow professionals, handle data entry, document management, bank reconciliations, voucher preparation, and support queries, gaining practical experience in SouthMed’s accounts department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry and processing of financial transactions into the accounting system.
  • Support the team in filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents.
  • Help with the reconciliation of bank statements and supplier statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of payment vouchers and invoices.
  • Respond to internal and external queries under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Perform any other administrative duties as assigned by the Finance team.

Requirements

  • Currently studying towards a degree in Accounting (or a related field).
  • Must be in need of an industrial attachment placement as part of university requirements.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Fluency in English is required.
