Job Description
Seeking an analytical, detail‑oriented Accounts Clerk to manage inventory accounting, supplier payments, daily sales reconciliation, and financial reporting for a fast‑growing retail pharmacy, ensuring accurate records and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and verify stock received against supplier invoices; capture inventory data; monitor daily stock movement and conduct physical counts.
- Maintain supplier ledgers, record invoices, reconcile statements, track balances, verify MPESA/bank payments, and document payments.
- Reconcile daily sales across cash, MPESA, card, insurance and digital platforms; verify shift summaries and prepare sales reports.
- Maintain organized financial records, support weekly/monthly reporting, assist cash‑flow tracking, ensure audit‑ready documentation and tax compliance.
- Identify financial leakages, propose process improvements, enforce internal controls, and support automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail, pharmacy, supermarket, or FMCG accounting.
- Strong exposure to inventory accounting, supplier reconciliation, and cash handling controls.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Familiarity with MPESA business statements reconciliation.
