Job Description

Assist in maintaining and securing the Core Banking System and IT infrastructure, providing level 1‑2 support, database management, compliance monitoring, and supporting IT projects within a regulated SACCO environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily system operations and routine maintenance.
  • Database management and backup monitoring.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance with regulatory standards (SASRA, ODPC).
  • Provide Level 1 & 2 technical support to system users.
  • Support system integration and generate operational reports.
  • Assist with IT projects, technical documentation, and staff training.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the SACCO’s IT goals.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in IT/Computer Science or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL, networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of core banking systems and financial IT operations.
  • Familiarity with IT security principles and data protection practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a SACCO or financial institution is an advantage.
