Job Description
Lead and mentor branch staff to achieve strategic goals, drive deposit and loan growth, manage client relationships, ensure compliance, and develop non‑funded income in a Christian microfinance bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the branch and mentor staff to achieve the bank’s mission, vision and strategic objectives.
- Achieve targets in customer service, retention, deposit growth and quality loan portfolio growth.
- Develop and maintain critical relationships to enhance business development.
- Enhance relationships with SMEs, high net‑worth individuals, churches and institutions.
- Maintain a balanced portfolio of church, SME, retail and corporate deposits.
- Implement strategies for penetration of business segments, markets and sectors.
- Grow non‑funded income business including transactional, alternate and direct banking.
- Ensure staff productivity through support, mentorship, turnaround time and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with risk and compliance units to implement effective controls.
Requirements
- Practicing Christian who upholds Christian values.
- Minimum 5 years banking experience, including operations and credit management.
- At least 2 years supervisory or managerial role in micro‑finance or commercial banking.
- Strong people‑management, negotiation, sales and marketing skills.
- Excellent customer service, report writing and presentation skills.
- Self‑driven, results‑oriented with a positive outlook.
- Focus on high portfolio quality and business profit.
- Team‑player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any business‑related field.
- Professional qualification in Credit Management (CCP) and/or Diploma in Banking (mandatory).
- ICT proficiency; knowledge of T24 system is an advantage.
