Job Description
Lead business development for SKM Africa in Nairobi, driving B2B and B2C partnerships, market research, contract negotiations, and revenue growth while collaborating with internal teams and representing the firm at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach and onboard institutions within the assigned market segment.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the segment.
- Build and maintain strong B2B relationships with decision‑makers and stakeholders.
- Drive B2C channel partnerships to grow end‑user adoption.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitive trends.
- Lead contract negotiations and close partnership agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Operations, Marketing) to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
- Track and report performance metrics, revenue growth, and pipeline development.
- Represent the company at industry events, forums, and stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or Relationship Management within the assigned market segment.
- Demonstrated success in B2B and B2C engagement strategies.
- Strong network within the relevant financial services sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
