Job Description
Design and produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for civil and structural projects, coordinate BIM, ensure standards compliance, and support construction documentation for high‑rise and industrial developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D BIM models for reinforced concrete, structural steel, and civil works.
- Develop complex detailing including rebar detailing, steel connections, and general arrangement drawings.
- Ensure all drawings and models adhere to company CAD/BIM standards and international coding conventions (e.g., ISO 19650).
- Transform conceptual sketches and engineering calculations into construction‑ready documentation.
- Maintain and organize the project drawing library with version control and proper file management.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks, generate clash reports, and resolve conflicts with MEP/Architectural models.
- Liaise with architects, MEP technicians, and engineers for integrated design delivery.
- Assist in preparation of “As‑Built” drawings and models based on site mark‑ups and field changes.
- Review construction drawings for accuracy, feasibility, and constructability before final approval.
- Conduct periodic site visits to verify construction aligns with issued structural details and models.
- Support engineering team in quantity take‑offs (BOQ) extracted from BIM models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a Diploma from a specialized technical institute.
- 7–10 years drafting and detailing experience, with at least 5 years BIM modeling and coordination.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (Structure), Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, reinforced concrete detailing rules, and structural steel sections.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Civil 3D, CADS RC, or structural analysis software (e.g., Prota Structure) is an advantage.
