Job Description
Reliever Commercial Data Analyst at Apollo Agriculture in Nairobi, translating business needs into technical tasks, building dashboards, analyzing sales data, and training teams, requiring 1‑2 years experience in SQL and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Commercial and Data teams to translate business needs into technical tasks and prioritize requests.
- Identify trends and patterns in data to support sales, growth and customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain dashboards used across the business; audit tools for accuracy and reliability.
- Train Commercial teams on dashboard usage and promote data‑backed reporting.
- Clarify ambiguous requests and collaborate with Engineering to ensure systems meet business goals.
- Work under guidance of senior analysts and Technology team to develop technical skills.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related technical field.
- 1–2 years hands‑on experience working with data; ability to go beyond spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries (joins, aggregations, CTEs); ability to read and troubleshoot existing queries. Experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake is a plus; exposure to dbt is a bonus.
- Some experience using Python for data tasks (pandas, scripting, automation). Willingness to learn new tools.
- Familiarity with Apollo’s dashboards and internal systems is advantageous.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical teammates and vice versa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake or other modern data warehouses.
- Exposure to dbt or similar data transformation tools.
- Familiarity with Apollo’s internal dashboard systems.
