Job Description
Provide B2B customer support for Avery Dennison in Nairobi, handling orders, inquiries, complaints, and coordination with operations, finance, and production while meeting sales targets and maintaining service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile daily order‑intake report and submit to the CSR Manager.
- Promote and sell slow‑moving and warehouse stock to customers while contributing to team targets.
- Liaise with operations and dispatch staff to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Resolve product/service queries, log complaints on Salesforce.com daily.
- Update customer price lists when price changes occur.
- Ensure internal staff have all relevant information for timely invoicing.
- Manage incoming calls and ensure all customer demands are met.
- Direct customer queries to the appropriate party.
- Check inventory on hand daily based on customer forecasts.
- Conduct a weekly Managing Daily Initiative (MDI) with dispatch, production, receiving and sales staff to address problem areas.
- Recommend potential products and services to customers.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, professional attitude toward customers at all times.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Load customer orders into the MFGpro system to create sales orders and job cards.
- Ensure orders are accurately created and distributed to the production department.
- Request time frames from the Production Supervisor for urgent orders and communicate them to the Dispatch Supervisor.
- Liaise with the Finance department regarding customers on hold or with suspended accounts.
- Provide customers with feedback on urgent orders and out‑of‑stock materials.
- Participate in stock‑take activities as required.
Requirements
- BA/BSc/HND or equivalent qualification
- 3–5 years B2B experience
- Strong telephonic skills
- Customer liaison and listening skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Analytical problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Attention to detail
