Job Description

PATH Kenya seeks an experienced driver to operate vehicles, transport staff and visitors, maintain logs, manage fuel reports, and support field logistics in a busy NGO environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the assigned vehicle.
  • Drive project staff, consultants, and visitors as needed.
  • Fill and maintain vehicle movement log sheets according to PATH Kenya policies.
  • Prepare and submit monthly vehicle fuel utilization and maintenance reports to the administrative officer or delegate.
  • Run office errands, collect mail, and deliver packages/parcels across project field offices and sites.
  • Inspect vehicle condition after each trip, report maintenance needs to the Senior Administrative Assistant or delegate.
  • Keep vehicle equipment, tools, first‑aid kits, spares, etc., safe at all times.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, ready, and on standby for use.
  • Assist staff and visitors with route planning and navigation.
  • Adhere to PATH Kenya’s fleet management regulations and the Kenya Highway Code.
  • Assist in workshop/training material preparation and delivery when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of driving experience, preferably in an NGO environment.
  • Valid driver’s license, Government Grade Test 2 or above.
  • Certificate of good conduct.
  • Minimum KCSE D+ certificate or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
