Job Description

World Vision Kenya seeks energetic enumerators to conduct household surveys across multiple sites, using digital tools, adhering to ethical standards, and completing training for a temporary data collection project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct household and community-level data collection using approved AIM+ tools.
  • Participate in mandatory training, field piloting, and supervision sessions.
  • Review data quality for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, safeguarding principles, and data quality protocols.
  • Work closely with AP teams to facilitate smooth field implementation.
  • Consult and liaise with World Vision staff or their designate.
  • Follow World Vision policies and report any safeguarding incidents.

Requirements

  • Diploma (minimum) in Social Sciences, Community Development, Statistics, Education, Public Health, IT, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in data collection or surveys (added advantage).
  • Ability to use smartphones or tablets for digital data collection.
  • Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili; knowledge of Kipsigis is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player.
  • Willingness to work in a challenging environment, beyond normal hours with minimal supervision.
  • Acquaintance with the project operation area.
  • Availability for the entire duration of training and data collection.
  • Agreement with World Vision's Christian ethos and commitment to safeguarding children and adults.
  • Must state location of residence in the application letter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in data collection or surveys.
  • Knowledge of the local language Kipsigis.
  • Experience carrying out surveys and research studies.
