Job Description

Lead financial administration for FairChain Kenya, handling reporting, budgeting, cash flow, compliance, audits, and staff supervision while supporting operational efficiency in a coffee production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full financial administration of FairChain Kenya
  • Prepare weekly management reports and financial analysis
  • Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management
  • Monitor production costs, margins, and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory requirements
  • Support external audits and regulatory reporting
  • Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting structures
  • Work closely with operations to improve efficiency and cost control
  • Supervise and support local finance staff

Requirements

  • CPA‑K (Finalist) – mandatory
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 4–6 years of audit or finance experience (audit‑firm experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial controls

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Odoo ERP (or other ERP systems)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in a production or operational environment
  • Team player with experience guiding or supervising staff
  • Hands‑on, practical mindset
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a “can‑do” mentality
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Structured, accurate, and deadline‑oriented
