Job Description
Lead financial administration for FairChain Kenya, handling reporting, budgeting, cash flow, compliance, audits, and staff supervision while supporting operational efficiency in a coffee production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full financial administration of FairChain Kenya
- Prepare weekly management reports and financial analysis
- Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management
- Monitor production costs, margins, and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory requirements
- Support external audits and regulatory reporting
- Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting structures
- Work closely with operations to improve efficiency and cost control
- Supervise and support local finance staff
Requirements
- CPA‑K (Finalist) – mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 4–6 years of audit or finance experience (audit‑firm experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial controls
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Odoo ERP (or other ERP systems)
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in a production or operational environment
- Team player with experience guiding or supervising staff
- Hands‑on, practical mindset
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a “can‑do” mentality
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
- Strong written and spoken English
- Structured, accurate, and deadline‑oriented
