Job Description

Lead culinary direction at Hemingways Eden Residence in Nairobi, creating original, personal luxury dining experiences, managing a high‑performing brigade, overseeing menu development, cost control, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead culinary direction for the property
  • Mentor, train, and grow a high‑performing kitchen brigade
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive guest experiences
  • Oversee menu engineering, cost control, and supplier stewardship
  • Maintain uncompromising food safety and hygiene standards
  • Manage all dining moments from breakfast service to tasting journeys

Requirements

  • 4‑5+ years experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in premium luxury kitchens
  • Proven strength in menu engineering, cost control and supplier stewardship
  • Uncompromising commitment to food safety standards
  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or Hotel & Restaurant Management
