Job Description
Lead culinary direction at Hemingways Eden Residence in Nairobi, creating original, personal luxury dining experiences, managing a high‑performing brigade, overseeing menu development, cost control, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead culinary direction for the property
- Mentor, train, and grow a high‑performing kitchen brigade
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive guest experiences
- Oversee menu engineering, cost control, and supplier stewardship
- Maintain uncompromising food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage all dining moments from breakfast service to tasting journeys
Requirements
- 4‑5+ years experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in premium luxury kitchens
- Proven strength in menu engineering, cost control and supplier stewardship
- Uncompromising commitment to food safety standards
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or Hotel & Restaurant Management
