Job Description
Lead culinary direction for Hemingways Eden Residence in Nairobi, creating original, personal luxury dining experiences, mentoring a high‑performing brigade, managing menus, costs, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead culinary direction for the property
- Mentor, train, and grow a high‑performing kitchen brigade
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive guest dining experiences
- Oversee menu creation, engineering, and cost control
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure food safety standards
- Maintain the property’s distinctive culinary identity
Requirements
- 4–5+ years experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in premium luxury kitchens
- Proven strength in menu engineering, cost control, and supplier stewardship
- Uncompromising knowledge of food safety practices
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or Hotel & Restaurant Management
