Job Description
The ICT Technician will install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, support data‑centre operations, provide user support for systems like Dynamics 365 ERP and LMS, and ensure security at Mama Ngina University College.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, monitor and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, wireless).
- Support data‑centre operations, including servers, storage, firewalls, backups, cabling, power and cooling.
- Provide user and system support for institutional ICT systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, LMS and other core applications.
- Monitor network and system performance to ensure availability, reliability and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network faults.
- Assist in administration and support of Windows Server and Linux‑based systems.
- Implement ICT security controls in line with MNUC policies and best practices.
- Maintain ICT documentation, system logs, asset registers and incident reports.
- Provide end‑user technical support and basic ICT training to staff and students.
- Perform any other ICT‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BA/BSc/HND in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited university.
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant ICT work experience, preferably in a university or large public institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a university, public institution, or large organization is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, LMS, and other core applications.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux‑based systems.
