Job Description
Perform diverse laboratory tests—including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and transfusion medicine—to support physicians in diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention while ensuring quality and participating in research.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical chemistry analyses of blood and fluids.
- Conduct clinical microbiology cultures, identification, and antibiotic sensitivity testing.
- Perform hematology studies, including blood cell analysis and coagulation investigations.
- Conduct transfusion medicine tasks, including blood typing and suitability testing.
- Perform cytotechnology slide examinations for abnormalities.
- Examine body fluids and tissues for abnormal chemical levels, cells, or bacteria.
- Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by pathologists.
- Determine blood type for transfusions.
- Conduct medical research and analysis.
- Participate actively in Quality Improvement Programs to ensure laboratory testing quality.
Requirements
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Minimum two years of relevant laboratory experience.
