Job Description

Lead AI and autonomous vehicle annotation operations in Nairobi, managing client relationships, workflow delivery, performance tracking, team development, and risk mitigation for Digital Divide Data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with ML, AV, and ADAS clients; act as primary liaison for client requests, updates, and issue resolution; ensure workflows and outputs align with client expectations and technical guidelines.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day execution of annotation, QA, audits, and reporting; translate technical guidelines into clear, actionable workflows; monitor team adherence to SLAs/KPIs; lead real‑time issue resolution; maintain version control of instructions and workflow updates.
  • Track performance trends using scorecards and dashboards; diagnose quality or productivity gaps and implement root‑cause fixes; partner with QA and Training teams to refine workflows and conduct refreshers; lead performance reporting to clients.
  • Mentor and develop teams handling AI, CV, 3D, or LiDAR datasets; foster a culture of feedback, technical excellence, and continuous learning; support team decision‑making on ambiguous or escalated annotation scenarios; advise on capacity planning, calibration cycles, and training needs.
  • Identify risks related to workflow complexity, guideline ambiguity, tooling inefficiencies, or data‑quality concerns; develop mitigation strategies; support Business Continuity Plans and drive readiness; escalate advanced risks to senior leaders and product teams.

Requirements

  • BA/BSc/HND or MBA/MSc/MA degree.
  • Minimum 2.5 years experience in AI/ML operations, project management, or technical workflow coordination (posting also mentions 2 years).
  • Hands‑on exposure to annotation workflows: 2D/3D computer vision, LiDAR, ADAS, or AV datasets.
  • Prior experience working in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment.

  • Understanding of ML metrics, data‑quality principles, and AV/ADAS ecosystems.
