Job Description
Lead regulatory reporting for HFC Limited, overseeing CBK prudential returns, ensuring compliance, data integrity, stakeholder coordination, and process automation while managing a team and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and submission of all CBK prudential and statistical returns on required schedules.
- Ensure compliance with CBK guidelines, Banking Act, Basel frameworks, and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Maintain data integrity between core banking systems, SAP ERP, regulatory returns, and financial statements.
- Lead reconciliations and resolve reporting variances and data quality issues.
- Interpret new CBK regulations and translate them into internal reporting specifications.
- Implement regulatory reporting changes and manage related projects, including the GDI project.
- Report capital adequacy, liquidity, large exposures, insider lending, and asset quality ratios.
- Act as primary finance contact for CBK, handling queries, inspections, and audit support.
- Drive automation, process improvement, and tool optimization for regulatory reporting.
- Maintain policies, procedures, documentation, and version control for regulatory submissions.
- Build technical capacity of team members and set performance targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field
- CPA (K) certification
- Registered member of ICPAK
- 5–7 years experience in CBK regulatory reporting
- 2–3 years experience in financial reporting
- Strong understanding of CBK Prudential Guidelines and Basel Accords
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict regulatory deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with CBK inspections and regulatory audits (advantage)
- Experience leading automation and process redesign initiatives
