Job Description
The Marketing Assistant at Maxim drives digital and traditional marketing across East Africa, creating Canva designs, managing social media, producing video content, supporting SEO, and ensuring brand consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality creatives using Canva (posts, brochures, presentations)
- Manage company social media platforms and publishing calendar
- Develop and edit short-form and long-form video content
- Support SEO implementation and website content optimization
- Monitor analytics and digital performance dashboards
- Support product launches and promotional campaigns
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital platforms
- Coordinate with sales teams for market-relevant content
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media
- 2-5 years experience in digital marketing or content creation
- Hands‑on Canva expertise (brand kits, layouts, typography)
- Experience managing company social media accounts
- Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals and digital analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio showcasing Canva design work is required
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within East Africa
