Job Description
Teach Mathematics and Business Studies to junior students at Makini High School, developing curriculum, assessing progress, and collaborating with staff while upholding school ethos and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the school ethos as directed by Directors and Principal.
- Plan, prepare, deliver, assess and report on Mathematics and Business Studies classes.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning and social needs.
- Keep accurate records and integrate formative and summative assessment.
- Report student progress to parents and maintain discipline according to policy.
- Lead and organise support staff within the classroom.
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and co‑curricular events related to curriculum and school management.
- Implement school policies and support initiatives decided by the Principal.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Education (Mathematics & Business Studies) or equivalent degree.
- Registered member of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Minimum three years teaching experience in a recognised junior school.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BSc/HND or equivalent from a recognised university/institution.
- Strong classroom management and assessment skills.
