Job Description
Manage and monitor WAN/LAN infrastructure, firewalls, switches, and security systems, lead network projects, ensure compliance, and provide Level 2 support for Stima Sacco’s ICT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor multi‑vendor network infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, Arista) for high availability.
- Manage and configure Fortinet firewalls, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Network Access Control (NAC), and SD‑WAN solutions.
- Oversee Cloudflare security configurations and SSL certificate management.
- Use ManageEngine OpManager for device reporting and real‑time LAN/WAN monitoring.
- Manage technical integrations with external partners such as Mobile Money platforms.
- Administer DHCP and DNS services and maintain detailed inventories of network equipment.
- Perform routine backups, firmware/software upgrades, and disaster recovery tasks.
- Provide Level 2 technical support to staff and resolve network faults.
- Lead implementation of ICT development projects and manage the lifecycle of software and hardware license renewals.
- Address audit and risk issues and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a complex network environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications: CCNP, Fortinet NSE4, and relevant cybersecurity certificates.
- Proven experience managing SD‑WAN, WAF, and multi‑vendor switching environments.
- Ability to configure firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as ManageEngine OpManager.
- Experience with DHCP, DNS, and network security configurations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in a relevant professional body (preferred).
- HND or equivalent qualifications accepted.
- Additional cybersecurity certifications beyond the minimum requirements.
