Job Description
Lead electro‑plating and laboratory operations, optimizing processes, managing equipment, ensuring quality, and providing technical guidance while coordinating with departments to meet safety, cost, and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, maintain and manage procedures to optimise the electro‑plating process.
- Manage lab operations, bath maintenance and provide technical advice on chemicals, equipment and sourcing.
- Forecast, plan and control plating schedule; carry out plating processes.
- Ensure availability of process water via reverse osmosis water treatment.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale.
- Decide on equipment use, maintenance, modification and organise repairs.
- Collaborate with other department heads to implement company policies and goals.
- Monitor product quality standards.
- Implement and enforce SOPs for plating operations and chemical analysis.
- Perform chemical analysis (volumetric analysis, density, pH, conductivity, hull‑cell test).
- Calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Prepare and maintain plating reports and laboratory documentation.
- Track daily plating costs.
Requirements
- Minimum three years experience in electrolysis/electroplating processes.
- BA/BSc/HND qualification; BSc in Chemistry, Science or Engineering preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSc degree in Chemistry, Science or Engineering.
- Experience with reverse osmosis water treatment and chemical analysis techniques.
