Job Description
Lead end‑to‑end procurement and inventory for a maternity hospital, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, high‑quality medical supplies, managing budgets, supplier relationships, compliance, and team performance while optimizing stock levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full procurement lifecycle for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, consumables and services.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with clinical needs, budgets and regulations.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, contract and manage supplier performance.
- Implement and manage inventory planning, control, ERP systems and stock audit processes.
- Maintain optimal stock levels, prevent stock‑outs, expiries and waste.
- Co‑manage procurement and inventory budgets, track spend and generate performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Supervise, mentor and develop procurement and stores teams, driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 3–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in healthcare or complex environments.
- Proven inventory management experience, especially with pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management and analytical skills.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP or hospital inventory systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional procurement or supply chain certification (e.g., KISM) and membership.
- Pharmacy qualification is a plus.
- Experience leading teams and driving process automation.
