Job Description
The Project Engineer will manage end‑to‑end project delivery for Buhler Group in Kenya, coordinating resources, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication while ensuring quality and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Act as interface between customer and internal functions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in developing project plans, defining scope, goals and deliverables.
- Create and manage project schedules, timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate resources, assign tasks and provide necessary tools and information to team members.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, and project summaries.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project expenses and track budget adherence.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates and manage expectations.
- Address project‑related issues and conflicts, facilitating resolutions.
- Generate regular status reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- English proficiency at FCE level.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Project Engineer or demonstrable equivalent skills.
- Basic commercial knowledge for assessing business risks and opportunities, and for commercial negotiations.
- Technical and commercial knowledge across multiple disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
