Job Description
The Project Manager will oversee delivery of internal and external ICT projects, manage backlogs, coordinate stakeholders, ensure governance, and drive resource allocation for banking and finance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and update projects and change requests on the project backlog; track, document and prioritize.
- Prioritize projects using the Project Prioritization Matrix (strategic alignment, business impact, resources, urgency).
- Baseline projects by estimating resources and effort.
- Determine whether projects are developed internally or outsourced.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on projects and change‑request backlog.
- Maintain and update a project dashboard/tracker for projects in motion.
- Coordinate IT Change Control (ITCC) meetings and maintain minutes.
- Establish and enforce quality control processes for Core Banking System or other projects.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and issues; develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Allocate and manage resources, collaborate with HR for recruitment, monitor availability.
- Develop standardized project management procedures covering initiation to closure.
- Establish governance frameworks and ensure regulatory and policy adherence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2 or PMP).
- Agile/Scrum certification and experience.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering enterprise‑level software applications.
- Experience managing projects for FinTech, banking or IT consulting.
- Good understanding of emerging technologies and their application in financial services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a DevSecOps team (preferred).
- Experience managing projects for FinTech, banking or IT consulting.
