Job Description
Drive sales of human food products by securing retail chain partnerships, managing client relationships, coordinating stock, and handling social media, supporting a Nairobi‑based FMCG start‑up.
Key Responsibilities
- Sign up the business with large retail chains (supermarkets) and distributors in the assigned region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail outlets to ensure a steady flow of orders.
- Ensure timely stock replenishment for existing customers.
- Gather client needs and preferences; suggest product improvements.
- Coordinate with the production team to plan schedules based on demand forecasts.
- Manage the company’s social media pages and engage with clients online.
- Work with the ICT department to create suitable website content.
Requirements
- Diploma in Business, Sales, or Marketing (degree in Marketing is a plus).
- Minimum one year experience in FMCG retail sales to distributors, supermarkets, or minimarkets.
- Existing customer base is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer‑engagement abilities.
- Knowledge of the informal retail market.
- Proficiency in social media management and online client engagement.
- Ability to gather and analyse customer feedback for product improvement.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Proactive, results‑driven attitude with ability to meet sales targets.
