Job Description
Drive sales of climate‑smart wireless sensor solutions to Kenya’s horticulture and floriculture growers, managing pipelines, client relationships, market intelligence, and technical translation to deliver measurable sustainability value.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities within the floriculture and horticulture sectors.
- Develop and execute sector‑specific sales strategies aligned with revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline using structured sales processes and CRM tools.
- Conduct product demos, site visits, and solution presentations tailored to client needs.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers articulating ROI and impact.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with farm owners, managers, agronomists, and procurement departments.
- Provide pre‑ and post‑sales support to ensure smooth onboarding and high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence on trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Provide insights to shape product roadmap and sales tactics.
- Identify new market segments and partnership opportunities.
- Interpret dashboards and analytics; collaborate with technical teams to design solutions.
- Translate technical features into clear business value for decision‑makers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Science or relevant Engineering field.
- Minimum 3 years B2B sales experience, preferably in Agri‑tech, agricultural inputs, IoT and sustainability.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of Kenya’s floriculture and horticulture value chain.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage multiple accounts.
