Job Description
Senior Accountant at FairChain WorkForce in Nairobi, managing year‑end compilation and Dutch‑compliant financial reporting for Dutch clients, requiring 4+ years Big 4 audit experience and CPA‑K qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Review accounting records and identify inconsistencies or risks
- Perform final adjustments (accruals, provisions, reclassifications)
- Convert reviewed accounting records into Dutch‑compliant financial statements and abridged reports
- Manage multiple year‑end files simultaneously in a structured, deadline‑driven environment
- Deliver accurate, well‑documented, review‑ready files
- Continuously improve efficiency, documentation quality, and turnaround time
- Communicate professionally with Dutch accountants
Requirements
- CPA‑K (advanced/qualified)
- Minimum 4 years audit experience in public practice (Big 4 or top‑tier preferred)
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and IFRS financial reporting
- Experience with year‑end files, audit execution, and working‑paper documentation
- Ability to work independently with high productivity and accuracy
- Strong planning discipline and deadline ownership
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent written and spoken English
- Experience with cloud accounting systems (Exact Online preferred; QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accepted)
- Willingness to quickly build expertise in Dutch GAAP (RJ)
