Job Description
Senior Fullstack Engineer at Reduzer, building scalable Django APIs and React interfaces for an AgriTech platform connecting thousands of farmers, owning features from design through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own complete features from requirements gathering through delivery, clarifying specifications with product managers.
- Build and maintain robust backend APIs using Django, following REST principles and ensuring scalability.
- Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces with React that work seamlessly across devices.
- Collaborate proactively with senior backend and mobile engineers on system architecture and codebase consistency.
- Design and optimise PostgreSQL database schemas, ensuring data integrity, query performance, and proper indexing.
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) to maintain high code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to technical documentation, architectural decisions, and best‑practice guidelines.
- Identify and implement performance improvements, refactoring opportunities, and technical‑debt reduction initiatives.
- Stay engaged with the broader product vision and provide technical input during planning sessions.
Requirements
- Expert‑level proficiency in Django (ORM optimisation, middleware, authentication, REST API design).
- Production‑level expertise in React (component architecture, state management, hooks, performance optimisation).
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge (complex queries, schema design, indexing, optimisation).
- Solid understanding of Python best practices and design patterns.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+ features, async patterns).
- Ability to debug complex full‑stack issues and troubleshoot production systems.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Minimum 5‑8 years of professional software development experience in production environments.
- Proven track record of shipping multiple full‑stack features from conception to deployment.
- Experience working in small, collaborative senior engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ownership of features with minimal supervision.
- Background with database‑driven applications at scale.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to clarify ambiguous requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset; break down complex problems into manageable solutions.
- Proactive, self‑motivated; initiative to improve processes and raise team standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with REST API design principles and documentation.

- Previous experience in AgriTech, supply‑chain, or similar domain‑specific software.
