Job Description
Leads operational oversight across AGC Tenwek Hospital and satellite sites, ensuring safe, patient‑centred care, strategic alignment, compliance, resource stewardship, and a compassionate Christian culture through effective leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall operational oversight and leadership for clinical and non‑clinical functions across hospital and satellite sites
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the 2024‑2028 strategic plan and Christian mission
- Oversee patient flow, transitions of care, and patient‑experience improvements
- Manage resource allocation, infrastructure projects, and financial stewardship
- Lead and coach operational managers, ward in‑charges, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with Kenya Ministry of Health standards, accreditation, and quality regulations
- Produce operational dashboards, reports, and data‑driven decision‑making for senior leadership
- Represent the CEO in stakeholder engagements, donor relations, and community partnerships
- Lead emergency preparedness, risk management, and business continuity planning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration or related field
- 10+ years progressive leadership in hospital operations, with at least 5 years in senior leadership at a large referral/teaching hospital
- Proven experience improving patient experience, infection prevention and control, and operational quality
- Strong knowledge of Kenya’s health system, policies, and regulatory standards
- Demonstrated financial and infrastructure management expertise
- Ability to lead multi‑facility operations and drive cultural transformation
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- Experience with accreditation, inspections, and international quality standards
- Track record of successful change management and stakeholder engagement
- Commitment to Christian values and compassionate service
