Job Description
Experienced Site Supervisor/Clerk of Works will manage timber‑frame office pod project in Nairobi, overseeing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with drawings, quality, safety, and preparing reports and material estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all works are carried out strictly in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Supervise timber frame subcontractor
- Oversee plumbing, biodigester and electrical installations
- Coordinate carpentry, finishing trades and in‑house site teams
- Monitor construction quality and resolve site issues
- Prepare basic quantity estimates for materials and works
- Maintain site records and prepare required technical/progress reports
- Ensure health & safety standards
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Building Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field
- 3–5 years practical construction site experience
- Hands‑on experience supervising construction works and managing subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience preparing site reports and basic quantity take‑offs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with timber or light structural construction is an advantage
- Experience with sustainability / WELL / regenerative design standards is an added advantage
