Job Description
The Technical Assurance Specialist designs and executes performance, load, and integration tests for banking applications, analyzes results, and provides recommendations to ensure system reliability, meeting SLAs across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute performance test scenarios (load, stress, spike, endurance) for banking applications.
- Develop performance test scripts using JMeter and LoadRunner for web, mobile, and API interfaces.
- Configure and manage test environments and data; monitor performance metrics during execution.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and validate system performance against SLAs.
- Execute system integration testing and API testing using SoapUI and Postman.
- Test failover, disaster recovery procedures, and verify system configurations.
- Prepare detailed test reports, dashboards, and documentation of performance issues.
- Develop and maintain a performance test script library and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business analyst teams to define acceptance criteria and support UAT.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4-6 years of software testing experience, with at least 2 years focused on performance testing.
- Hands‑on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Experience testing web and mobile applications in a banking/financial services environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing assignments.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Proficiency in API testing tools like SoapUI and Postman.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level certification.
- Performance testing tool certifications (LoadRunner, JMeter).
- Basic cloud certifications (AWS/Azure fundamentals).
