Job Description
Sell day‑old chicks and agro‑veterinary products, provide technical support, achieve sales targets, generate market intelligence, and manage customer relationships for Kenchic’s poultry business while ensuring compliance with company policies and handling funds responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for day‑old chicks and complementary products.
- Drive sales through promotional activities, farm visits, seminars, and livestock shows.
- Provide basic technical advice on management, vaccines, and poultry equipment to new and small‑scale farmers.
- Generate market‑intelligence reports, track competitor activities, and inform management.
- Maintain positive business relationships by collecting feedback, handling complaints, and updating the customer database.
- Support regional poultry distribution plan and assist distributors/agents.
- Safeguard and manage assigned funds, materials, and equipment efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Animal Science, Animal Production, or Animal Health.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer technical support role in the poultry industry.
- Registered, retained, and hold a valid practicing license from the Kenya Veterinary Board.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in Marketing (advantageous).
