Job Description

Teleperformance Kenya seeks a full‑time Trainer in Nairobi to onboard, upskill, and support new hires, develop training materials, analyze needs, and ensure effective performance within the BPO environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard new hires and upskill tenured employees
  • Introduce new hires to company values, mission, and vision
  • Activate new hires with client‑provided credentials
  • Set up and maintain training facilities and materials
  • Deliver engaging training sessions and facilitate knowledge transfer
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support during onboarding and nesting phases
  • Collect and submit training feedback to the Training Supervisor
  • Document and maintain data on training progress
  • Conduct data analysis to identify training needs
  • Provide refresher training based on CSR performance and business needs
  • Measure training effectiveness and prepare progress reports
  • Observe daily CSR operations to identify improvement areas
  • Participate in frontline activities to maintain product knowledge
  • Develop education materials such as presentations, manuals, and videos
  • Update training content based on product or procedure changes
  • Create and maintain lesson plans, group activities, role‑plays, and assessments

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Education, Communication, HR, or Public Relations
  • Minimum 2 years experience, preferably in a BPO environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • C1 level English competency and any client language required
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and adjust priorities
  • Understanding of the customer service industry
  • Experience managing new‑hire batches
  • Prior experience in a similar trainer role
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, planning, and time‑management abilities
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Problem‑solving skills for variable situations with limited standardization
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and procedures
  • Effective presentation skills for management, peers, and customers
  • Self‑driven, proactive, and a team player
  • Ability to build strong cross‑departmental relationships
